So irked at the Guiding Light people

Casting people, I mean. I HATE when they recast a role. I understand that they have to but the new Cassie and Lizzie on Guiding Light are unbearable. And if they would stop making the heroes turn evil and the villains turn nice, it would sure help. Remember Roger Thorpe? He was E-V-I-L and we loved him for it. People watch soaps to watch the villains go after the bad guys and to watch the bad guys give the villains their just desserts. So, they keep taking away our villains and suddenly we're left with nothing but music beds. Yea, that's the general idea of soaps, but like romance novels, we've all evolved beyond that. We want drama AND mystery AND suspense AND action.

Speaking of action....Mallet is HOT. I love that guy and he's so funny and sexy....I just know we'll lose him soon to prime time. Then they'll recast and we'll get stuck with some nerd.

Okay, enough on the soap for now. Unless somebody who works at Guiding Light stops by. Then this 35 year viewer could offer a few opinions. *wink*

Auntee-Social

For anybody who cares....and anybody who doesn't

Okay, this is my first entry. I'm new to this journal thing. If you happen upon it and you're given to random fits of pissiness, by all means, join me. This is a great forum for venting. If you're someone who talks on the cellphone in line at the grocery store, blocks the road by stopping your car to talk to another friend in a car, hits their wife, believes that all women's problems are hormonal....then you should move on.

I like music....almost all music. There's no such thing as bad music. Music is organized noise and as such, is completely subjective. I don't particularly take to opera or country, but most everything else is cool. I am NOT cool. I don't strive to be cool. I left that behind in high school. Like many people, I'm here to vent, not to make friends as such. I have opinions and I state them without prejudice. They're only MY opinions. You don't like them....go away.

I like movies. Most movies, in fact. I'm an incredibly easy sell when it comes to movies. It has to be pretty bad for me to say I hate it. Television, too. I just don't like talk shows. Reality TV is great to exorcize my voyeuristic demons, but talk shows are a little too unreally real for me.

Literature is a harder sell. I've read 3 books in the last ten years that I actually liked. No, none of them were by Stephen King, though I do know who Stephen King's son is. *grin* Robert Rankin is an awesomely irreverent comedic author. Read a blurb or excerpty at Amazon and you'll find out why. Come on! Who could resist a book entitled, "Island of the Sequined Love Nun?"

Okay, so that covers the brief intro. I really won't tell much about myself, personally. A bit here and there. I'll probably piss a lot of people off. I don't care. It's good to get pissed off. I probably won't discuss politics here because I hate politics and politicians. I don't think Live Journal has enough server space to cover how much I hate politicians. Besides, I don't want a bunch of Bush-Nazis on my doorstep, now do I?

Long live bitchy free speech!
Your Auntee
